Catholic Charities is looking into 17 cases of human trafficking in Kentucky, discovered just since June.
Statistics show as many as 17,000 people are trafficked into the U.S. each year, and Kentucky likely has many more victims than we know.
“We don’t think at all that we’ve found even half of the cases that are out there,” said Marissa Castellanos, Catholic Charities Project Manger.
